One of the most unfortunate episodes in Peruvian football happened in 2015: a player hit a referee on a pitch. It happened on Sunday, September 6, 2015 at the Second Division date. What happened to Joyce Conde?

Conde’s expulsion had an immediate effect in Unión Hural. The forward has been separated from the Huaralino club, a decision welcomed by a large part of the footballing universe. However, the questionable came from the Professional Football Sports Association (ADFP): The striker has only been suspended for eight dates.

The Republic contacted Ramón Blanco to gather his impressions of the curious fact. “The penalty seemed very small to me. But when he (Conde) was playing for Alianza Universidad a few years later, he came up to me and apologized. We talked and everything stayed the same,” said the former referee.

Blanco singled out Conde’s Adel for admitting his mistake and apologizing to him. “You have to appreciate that and save from Conde: he realized his mistake. That’s football, that’s how it is,” he said.
