Emma Roberts Gently Scolds Her Mum For Sharing A Photo Of Her Son's Face

Emma Roberts lovingly pushed back after her mum posted a photo of her two-year-old son Rhodes showing the toddler’s face.

Emma, who turned 32 on Friday, and her former partner, Garrett Hedlund, 38, are trying to keep the tot out of the media, but the Maybe I Do star can’t always control what others are doing.

Mom Kelly Cunningham, who credited herself as “Gramma to Rhodes” in her Instagram bio, shared an adorable photo of her grandson last week and wrote, “Little man is growing up!”

It took the About Fate star, who was last seen on NYFW, a while to check her mother’s account as she has been busy promoting her new romantic comedy and spending time at New York Fashion Week.

But on Thursday night, scrolling through her feed revealed the post.

Emma hit back, using the same photo on her Instagram Stories with the explainer, “When your mom posts your sons face without asking but you love them both whatever,” followed by a heart emoji.

Kelly responded by re-sharing this post and wrote, “The fight continues!! I love you Q!! Touch ‘♥️’

Other grandmothers expressed their sympathy by writing, “You tried!!! Too hard to hide that sweet face!’

Another proud Nana said: “It must be so hard for you… when you have a beautiful grandchild you just want to show the world! Happy Mom! ❤️❤️it’s a side view.’

This wasn’t the first time Emma’s mom has pushed her boundaries.

In 2020, Kelly broke the news of her daughter’s pregnancy.

“I’ve been pretty low key about my pregnancy but unfortunately my mom has Instagram. Wow, moms and Instagram, that’s a bad combination,” the Holiday star revealed on Jimmy Kimmel Live! this year.

“She definitely spilled the beans.”

Emma, who shares parenting responsibilities with Garrett, has several projects in the pipeline including the highly anticipated Madame Web starring Sydney Sweeney and Dakota Johnson.

Meanwhile, the The Road singer just wrapped the first season of Tulsa King starring Sylvester Stallone.

The versatile actor is currently working on various projects including Desperation Road with Mel Gibson.
