Biden lawyers hand over boxes of documents in BOSTON: The latest twist in the classified files saga shows they were handled elsewhere before arriving at the Penn Biden Center
- The National Archives released emails from the time Biden documents were discovered
- It came on a day when the FBI was raiding Mike Pence’s Indiana home
- An email to Biden lawyers referred to boxes of materials in Boston
A new detail on the information network about the trail of Biden documents emerged on Friday when the National Archives released email traffic linking documents in Boston.
The email from National Archives Attorney Gary Stern came days after classified material was discovered in the offices of Biden’s DC think tank office at the Penn Biden Center.
Biden and federal officials have found documents on Penn Biden and at Biden’s Wilmington home and searched his Delaware beach home after the initial discovery on Penn Biden days before the November election.
It came amid more twists and turns in the expanding saga, when the FBI found another document marked Secret at the home of former Vice President Mike Pence, and attorneys for former President Donald Trump turned over another folder of Secret markings.
Newly uncovered email traffic points to boxes of Biden documents at his attorney’s office in Boston
“Please ensure that the boxes remain securely in a locked room in your Boston office and that no one will enter,” Stern wrote to Biden attorneys Bob Bauer and Patrick Moore.
This follows a report by CNN last month that Penn Biden had sent Biden speeches and “reference material” to Moore’s Boston law office.
The email is contained in a 74-page file released by the Archives on Friday as part of a Freedom of Information Act request. You follow the reaction after the first secret documents are discovered. Special Counsel Robert Hur is investigating the Biden documents matter.
Moore replies, offering to bring in an attorney “who can work with you tomorrow to gain access to our office and collect materials there.”
Other emails deal with such mundane matters as arranging a parking spot during pickup.
White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre declined to comment when asked at Friday’s news briefing.
The email came five days after documents marked as confidential were found at the Penn Biden Center in DC
“Please ensure the boxes remain securely in a locked room at your Boston office,” the archives attorney wrote
The FBI searched the Indiana home of former Vice President Mike Pence for more classified documents
According to local media, the FBI is scheduled to arrive at Mike Pence’s home in Indiana on Friday morning to search for classified documents
The development came on a day when the FBI searched Mike Pence’s Indiana home and discovered an additional document that was marked classified, according to Pence’s attorney. Pence’s team previously uncovered classified material after the Biden situation came to light.
There was no immediate indication that the material in Boston contained items marked as classified.
Meanwhile, attorneys for former President Donald Trump turned over another binder containing secret markers to the administration, ABC News reported.
It was discovered “at the Mar-a-Lago complex” and not at the storage facility that the FBI had been subpoenaed to search.
More than 300 documents marked as classified were discovered after the search this summer at Trump’s club in Florida. Trump has attempted to wipe down the previously discovered empty folders, which are marked as classified, and said he likes to keep them as souvenirs.
