A Malaysian family had an unusual discovery when two giant snakes fell on the roof and also destroyed the roof of their home in Bentong, a city located 68km from the capital Kuala Lampur. The incident happened on Sunday afternoon the 12th and no one was injured. According to the Sinar Harian newspaper, it is believed that the snakes were mating when they fell on the ceiling, startling residents.
Som Salleh, 57, was at home with her daughter when she heard a sound that resembled falling. Entering one of the rooms, he imagined a python’s tail “sticking out from the broken ceiling.” In shock, he left the house and called civil protection.
It took the rescue team 50 minutes and lots of bait to save the two boa snakes. One python weighing 32 kg and 5 meters long and another weighing 25 kg and 4 meters long. The snakes will be released in a secure location, according to the publication.
