Young actor Cody Longo, best known for his roles in Days of Our Lives and CSI: New York, was found dead last Wednesday at the age of 34.
The information was confirmed in a statement by his wife Stephanie to People magazine.
“Cody was our whole world. The children and I are heartbroken and beyond that devastated,” said the mother of her little ones. “He was the best dad. We will always remember you and miss you.”
While his manager, Alex Gitterson, expressed his dismay at the actor’s death.
“My heart breaks for your beautiful family. He had taken time off from acting to do music and spend more time with his family in Nashville,” he said.
According to the portal TMZ, Longo’s body was found lifeless in a bed at his home in Austin, Texas.
The singer also had a history of trouble with the law. According to various US media outlets, he was arrested for drunk driving in 2013, arrested for gender-based violence in November 2020, and found guilty in 2021 of sexually assaulting a minor in incidents in 2019.
