Less than 48 hours after city officials discovered the first body parts, police officers from the criminal investigation department responsible for the murder investigation identified the victim without revealing his name.
Analysis of fingerprints by the regional forensic identification service made it possible to establish a link between the human remains and the disappearance of a woman reported by her husband on February 6 at a police station in SeineSaintDenis, in the Paris region. . The capital’s public prosecutor’s office confirmed the information provided by the newspaper Le Parisien.
From now on, police officers will investigate close people and family members of the victim to try to identify the perpetrator. The husband was not arrested, according to a source close to the case.
According to the state ministry, the results of the autopsy, which are not yet known, should enable the determination of the still unknown date and time of death.

Buttes Chaumont Park was evacuated and closed to the public on Monday and reopened on Tuesday afternoon.
