World football’s governing body decided in favor of the Russian team for the Peruvian’s transfer operation for his arrival in the Brazilian team in 2019.
The aftermath of the chaotic passage of Christian Ceva between Russia and Brazil in 2018 and 2019 now concern the FC Santos. In its most recent judgment in the Peruvian’s case, Fifa ruled that Peixe must pay Russian team Krasnodar, with whom they agreed to loan “Aladino” for a year, a sum of more than two million dollars, plus interest and a penalty of more than $100,000.
“Defendant, Santos FC, is required to pay Plaintiff the following amount: $2,333,333 net in outstanding consideration plus 5% interest from April 6, 2020 to the date of effective payment. And $116,666.65 as a penalty,” reported the Player’s Statute Commission, the governing body of world football, in a resolution.
The judgment shows that the deadline for paying the fixed amount is a maximum of 45 days. Failure to do so will result in FIFA preventing Santos from registering players and signing players for three consecutive transfer markets, or at least until the debt is settled. In addition, the case could go to the Disciplinary Committee.
