the sitcomOs Jetsons” was published in 1962. It depicts the history of the Jetson family, composed by George Jetson, his wife Jane and their two children Elroy and Judy. In a future where cars are flying and technology has made great strides, they are experiencing great confusion.

In Brazil, the series was shown by the defunct TV Excelsior and also by SBT. The production was produced by HannaBarbera, making it one of creators William Hanna and Joseph Barbera’s most popular productions.

There are some similarities to other series like The Flintstones. While living in the Stone Age and using machines that used dinosaur and bird traction, the Jetsons were also a family using advanced resources dating back to 2062 that coexisted with technological advances.

Introduced as a man in his 40s, George Jetson is notable for being a loving father, despite making poor decisions most of the time. The character works at the Sprockets company and turns the RUDI computer on and off.
