Los Angeles Kings goaltender Pheonix Copley had to watch part of Friday’s game against the Anaheim Ducks from his locker room after being sacked.

In the second half, the masked man was punished for hitting an opponent with his blocker.
A scrum broke out in front of Copley’s net and Copley decided to get in on the action by harassing a rival with his piece of equipment. At the other end of the rink, Ducks goaltender John Gibson wanted to defend his teammate and left his half-circle. However, the referees prevented a brawl between the two masked men.
Jonathan Quick was therefore forced to enter the confrontation. He ended his evening’s work by deflecting eight of the ten shots sent his way and the Kings won 6-3.
Coming back to Copley, the North Pole, the Alaskan Native has had a fantastic season. After signing a one-year deal with the Kings last summer, he snatched first place from Quick. In 23 games, he compiled a 17-3-1 record, a .904 percent save and a 2.70 goal average.
