Havana Cuba. – Roberto Morales Ojeda, member of the Politburo and Organization Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC), met with the ambassadors of the DPRK, the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the People’s Republic of China and the Lao People’s Democratic Republic this Saturday.
During the cordial meeting, Morales emphasized the PCC’s will to strengthen and further develop the excellent relations that unite our respective peoples and communist parties.
The meeting was opportune to update diplomats on the work being undertaken by the PCC, which aligns with the concepts, ideas and policies approved on the 8th. Congress of the organization and the arrangements of the plenary sessions of the Central Committee developed throughout 2022.
The Organizing Secretary informed those present that the PCC is following up on the consensus reached by Comrade Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the PCC and President of the Republic, with the leaders of these sister nations.
For their part, the ambassadors expressed their interest in further expanding and deepening cooperation between the parties and reiterated their strong condemnation of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States on Cuba.
The meeting was also attended by Joel Queipo Ruíz, Member of the Secretariat and Head of the Economic and Production Department of the CC PCC; Roberto Pérez Jiménez, Member of the Central Committee and Head of the Organization Department; Emilio Lozada García, Head of the International Relations Department of the Central Committee, and other officials from the PCC and embassies.
