The best thing about this film comes from its credibility, from the filmmaker’s passion for the story, and from the astonishing naturalness of a cast of actors that included then-newcomers Tristán Ulloa and Laia Marull. I wish Spanish cinema would approach the daily reality of its surroundings more often, and I wish it would always do so with the honesty of Mensaka, a true example of true cinema.

A new Turkish series, Original Sin, arrives on Antena 3. The first episode is offered tonight before the release of a new chapter of Family Secrets to move to the chain’s afternoons tomorrow in an appointment from Monday to Friday. Stanley Kubrick has matured the artificial intelligence project for years. In the story beats the idea of the inevitable loneliness of the individual, the basis of many of the director’s masterpieces. Over time, however, the filming would be in Spielberg’s hands. Under his gaze, the story of a robot boy who can feel love and pain is transformed into a double feature film: in the first hour he reconstructs Kubrick’s visual style with amazing skill. The rest of the footage becomes a sordid tale that peers into the abyss of tragedy, a metaphor for a society as orphaned as the protagonist child.
