The Third Millennium Star made her São Paulo Carnival Special Group debut this Saturday (18) at Anhembi. The Grajaú school in the south zone of São Paulo held a parade full of clowns and other funny characters (Watch the parade in the videos above).
She switched from English humor (with Pantera Cor de Rosa costumes and the Monty Python group) to Brazilian humor, with Marcelo Adnet portraying a court jester. It was the comedian’s debut on Anhembi. Godmother Carla Diaz, who paraded with the drums, also made her debut at the São Paulo Carnival.
Formed in 1998, last year’s Access Group champions, the club struggled ahead of the parade, with members struggling to occupy the highest sections of the last float. There was a delay of about 20 minutes for which she will not be penalized.

Founded in 1998 in Grajaú, south of São Paulo, the school’s motto is: “Give me your sadness and I’ll turn it into joy!” A tribute to the art of making people laugh”.
The court jester, a famous character for entertaining nobles and kings, also appeared in the costume of the members of the first wing of the parade and in the autoopening wing (See photos from the parade above.).
Another highlight of the parade was the front committee with a family quickly changing into costumes (from black and white to colorful costumes), representing the role of comedy to make life easier.
The plot “Give me your sadness and I will turn it into joy! A Tribute to the Art of Making People Laugh” told the story of humour, featuring notable characters from entertainment and different ways of doing humour.
Suassuna, Chaves & Chapolin
Radio, television, cartoons, cinema (“O Auto da Compadecida”, based on the work of Ariano Suassuna) and magazines like “Mad” appeared during the parade.
Another wing paid tribute to the author Machado de Assis (18391908) and the most humorous part of his work. Chaves and Chapolin, characters created by Mexican actor Roberto Gómez Bolaños (19292014), appeared in other fantasies.
The third car was inspired by television humor featuring giant dolls by Trapalhões, Jô Soares and Chico Anysio. “TV Pirata”, broadcast on Globo between 1988 and 1992, and the Minions recalled “the world in the palm of your hand” in the last few wings, in front of the car, in a nod to Internet humor.
The Third Millennium Star ended its debut among the elite of the São Paulo Carnival with a tribute to Paulo Gustavo, who died in 2021. On display was a sculpture of the comedian sitting on the lap of a Jesus Christ doll, with a small plaque that read “You.” are really of one piece”.
