The Montreal International (MI) organization says it helped attract $3.58 billion in foreign investment to the metro area last year, down 4.9% from 2021.

These investments will fund 102 projects, a record for MI in terms of business support. These projects should result in the creation of 8,287 jobs with an average salary of $88,000.
As of 2022, the organization had worked on 100 projects totaling $3.77 billion that should result in the creation of 11,550 jobs with an average salary of $82,000.
The investment project that drew the most attention last year was that of vaccine maker Moderna, which announced it would build a plant in Laval.
