A 6.3magnitude earthquake 10 kilometers deep shook the TurkishSyrian border region on Monday, the United States Seismological Center (USGS) said.
According to the USGS, the quake had its epicenter in the city of Uzunbag in the state of Hatay.
Two Portal witnesses reported a strong earthquake and further damage to buildings in central Antakya, another city in the state.

Hatay state was hit hard by the earthquake earlier this month, killing more than 46,000 people and leaving more than 385,000 homes uninhabitable and more than a million homeless.

The record comes hours after US Secretary of State Antony Blinken told Turkey Washington would help “for as long as needed” following devastating and deadly earthquakes in the same region two weeks ago.
Humanitarian aid sent by the US to Turkey and Syria has already reached $185 million, the US State Department said.
