Kim Zolciak’s high-profile gambling habits have been revealed as her home enters foreclosure

Kim Zolciak’s high-profile gambling habits were chronicled less than three years ago on an episode of her one-off Bravo series Don’t Be Tardy, amid news that the reality star is struggling financially as her luxurious Atlanta home went into foreclosure .

Zolciak’s all-around expensive taste was well documented in her Don’t Be Tardy series — which ran from 2012 until its cancellation in 2021 — as her home features a private hair salon, elevator, and Versace china, among other pricey amenities.

In the episode, which aired in December 2020, the Real Housewives of Atlanta alum, 44, her husband Kroy Biermann, 37, and their family embarked on a road trip that included a stop in Las Vegas.

There, Zolciak, where she said she gambled away enough money to buy “an entire RV.” (According to RV dealer Cruise America, the initial cost of an RV ranges from $35,000 to $300,000…depending on various factors like RV class, included features, and other costs.)

The former Real Housewives of Atlanta personality and her family had arrived in Nevada as a result, and the reality star wasted little time getting into the games.

The Bravo beauty gambled on slots and tables for 11 hours when she told producers she had pushed her luck during the gambling marathon.

“I would actually have kicked off an entire RV if I just stopped while I was ahead, but I just can’t help it – I kind of broke even,” Zolciak said in a confession.

Zolciak said later that she’s made a name for herself at several major casinos for her track record in gaming, in contrast to her reality TV fame: “Planet Hollywood and Caesar’s, let’s face it, they know us.”

Zolciak said the casinos have made a number of amenities perks like limousine rides and penthouse suites available to their daughters — perks traditionally reserved for high-gaming players.

Zolciak, who was seen feeding $100 bills into slot machines in the episode, said she probably wouldn’t be in her room much during the trip as she would be busy gambling.

“I don’t even have to eat here in Vegas,” Zolciak said on the episode. “As long as I have my wine and water, I need neither sleep nor food.”

Zolciak’s daughters Brielle, 25, and Kaia, nine, both commented on their mother’s penchant for gambling, as Brielle said her mother was “a high roller in Vegas, Alabama, North Carolina” who traded hundreds of dollars “for hours”.

When asked on the show what casinos were, Kaia said, “My mom plays in the casinos because she wants money.”

At one point during the show, Zolciak suggested to her spouse, “We should just move to Vegas,” to which he rolled his eyes and replied, “Oh my god.”

Zolciak gambled away $30,000 in Vegas during the trip filmed for the show at The Palms Casino in the summer of 2019, a source told Radar at the time.

“She’s had a few small wins here and there, like $250, but most of the money is gone,” the source told the site.

The insider said Zolciak suffered the big losses playing “a combination of blackjack, craps and…also slots.”

In a 2016 episode of the series, she was seen losing $25,000 during a trip to a Montana casino, revealing her insights into her mentality when it came to making bets.

“I bet a lot to win big…but when you lose it definitely becomes more of an annoyance than anything else and then I start to get pissed…when I start losing I start to shut my damn sanity.” lose,’ she said.

She said Biermann contradicted her after the five-figure loss that she borrowed money from the casino: “Had he let me stay later and gotten another line of credit, I probably would have won it all back.”

Zolciak revealed an even bigger loss in a 2014 episode of the Bravo series, in which she said she once lost $250,000 at a casino in the Bahamas.

In one segment, she spent $1,240 on scratch cards at a gas station and won $36 in the process. That’s what Page Six reported at the time.

“I love to gamble but there is no casino here in Georgia so the only way to get my thrills is to buy scratch cards,” she said.

Aside from the televised trips, Zolciak and Biermann have made several casino visits over the years: they were photographed visiting Las Vegas in March 2021 and were previously seen at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Connecticut in September 2017.

Zolciak’s expensive habits have come under renewed scrutiny in the wake of news of the foreclosure, as her home is set to be auctioned off by Truist Bank on March 7 after she and Biermann defaulted on a $1.65 million loan , which they originally recorded in October 2012.

Zolciak previously addressed the situation surrounding the home last November amid rumors it sold for $257,000.

She said in an Instagram Stories clip, “Ok guys, my house didn’t sell for $257,000. If you guys think I’m going to rent out my house that we’ve poured millions and millions of dollars into for $257,000, you’re an idiot, okay? Really.’

She added: “So what are you guys gonna do haters when I’m here for Christmas and I’m here for my birthday in May and I’m here for all these amazing dates?

“I’m here until I want to move, until I decide not to live here anymore. So enjoy the view, haters. You’ll see it for quite a while.’
