Will your region receive more snow from a spreading Colorado depression as another winter storm hits Quebec Wednesday night?
The blizzard will be accompanied by a cold front that will cause a sharp drop in temperature after a week of mild weather.
Areas bordering the United States will receive more accumulation than areas north of the St. Lawrence River.
In the greater Montreal area, Environment Canada is forecasting 10 to 15 inches of snow starting Wednesday evening and Thursday during the day, particularly on the south coast.
In Estrie, Outaouais and Mauricie there will be essentially the same scenario with perhaps less snow for Gatineau and Trois-Rivières, ie accumulations of 5 to 10 centimetres.
Rainfall will be less important heading north, with the federal agency predicting 2 inches in Quebec and much less in Saguenay.
The eastern sectors of the province will be more or less spared by Thursday’s storm, but the biting cold will certainly moderate it with daily highs of -17 degrees.
While awaiting the arrival of that snowfall, it will be less cold in southern Quebec on Tuesday with generally sunny weather and perhaps more cloud in places.
