All small cars from General Motors are being modernized for the 2024 model year. After the Chevrolet Trailblazer and Trax and the Buick Encore GX, Cadillac is now following suit with the XT4.
Returning in the same three trim levels (Luxury, Premium Luxury and Sport), Cadillac’s smallest SUV features front and rear improvements including new stripped-down LED headlights and redesigned grilles. In addition, the design of the 18- and 20-inch alloy wheels has been updated.
The top-luxe version continues to stand out with chrome accents, while the Sport favors dark trim. Also note the addition of three new colors to the exterior palette: Emerald Lake, Midnight Sky (black) and Deep Sea (dark blue).

As in the LYRIQ
The interior of the 2024 Cadillac XT4 is no wimp. In fact, some would say this is where the biggest change is happening – literally. The entire dashboard has been redesigned to incorporate a new digital dashboard and touchscreen, grouped in the same curved design. The 33-inch display (with 9K resolution) is identical to what the LYRIQ electric crossover offers, and the user interface is largely driver-customizable.
The multimedia system includes Google features like voice assistant and navigation, but note that Android Auto and Apple CarPlay remain compatible without the need to connect a USB cable. Amazon’s Alexa users don’t miss out either.

A new modem enabling 5G wireless connectivity is also included and all XT4s are capable of receiving the new 13-speaker AKG studio audio system, which offers an immersive listening experience.
Brushed aluminum brightens up the decor, then each version adds their own finishes: gloss black, wood/aluminium, or wood/carbon fibre. Also worth mentioning is the redesigned steering wheel, which is modeled after that of the large Escalade.
Same engine
What doesn’t change is the engine, in this case a 2-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that produces 235 hp. It’s paired to a nine-speed automatic transmission and can deactivate some of its cylinders if necessary to save fuel.

All-wheel drive remains optional on the base version, but it’s standard on the other two models. The XT4 Sport is the only one to offer the active sports suspension, which improves handling. Finally, it should be noted that the optional active safety package is expanded to include automatic emergency braking at intersections, traffic sign recognition and a speed limit assistant.
The 2024 Cadillac XT4 goes on sale this summer and, while unknown, its prices will inevitably be higher than the previous model, which started at $41,097 including freight and dealer prep.
