Jason Rothwell, who claims to be a psychic, was helping police in the Lancaster County town of Lancashire. England, to find the body of Nicola Bulley, 45 years old, who disappeared on January 27 this year while walking her dog near a river.
On Monday (20th), local police confirmed that the body found was that of Nicola. Taking to social media, Jason claimed it was him in the pictures that were circulating in English media.
He even took the opportunity to thank the authorities for their support and “openness as following our spirituality and mediumship is obviously not something the police encounter every day and I appreciate the respect shown”.
Jason pointed out that neither the police nor Nicola’s family asked him to get involved in the case, “but given the offensive comments made about the incident, I’ve decided to use every ‘gift’ we psychics have to try to locate Nicola Bulley.”
After the case was resolved, the victim’s family held a press conference criticizing the false allegations made by the English media and public. For them, these people should be held accountable for “misquotes and slander.”
The family added that they will never forget Nicola as “she made our lives special and nothing will ever cast a shadow over it”.
“Finally Nikki, you are no longer a missing person, you have been found and now we can put your mind at ease.”
Now Lancashire Police have come under fire for their handling of the case and are yet to answer why it took more than three weeks to find the body.
