Reality TV will return to TVA and TVA+ this spring, and the islanders will be settling into Las Terrenas, Dominican Republic, like last year. This gives you the chance to rub shoulders in the same dreamy beachfront mansion that viewers who have seen Season 2 will be familiar with.

Known for her humor and infectious energy, Geneviève Schmidt, 44, is currently starring in ICI Télé’s daily newspaper, STAT.

We asked Tuesday morning, in the margins of the announcement, whether the shooting of the first season of “STAT” will be completed when Geneviève Schmith will pack her bags for the Dominican Republic.

The answer was not yet available at the time of writing this article.

We also saw the actress in “The Complicated Life of Léa Olivier” on Club illico, in “L’Échappée” on TVA and in “La maison bleue” and in “District 31” on ICI Télé.

The actress who hosted Gala Québec Cinéma in 2021 and 2022, and who we’ll see in Denys Arcard’s next film, Testament, received her acting diploma from the National Theater School of Canada in 2008.

“I am blessed to be the world’s first female narrator of ‘The Island of Love!’ I am very happy to add my personal touch as having a sense of humor is a wonderful quality in love! We’re going to have a spring to remember, I’m sure of it!” Geneviève Schmidt said in a press release on Tuesday.

Produced by Productions Déferlantes, in association with TVA and Quebecor Content, this year’s “L’île de l’amour” will be hosted by Olivier Dion, taking over from Naadei Lyonnais.

Remember that Productions Déferlantes has an agreement with ITV, owner of the “Love Island” format, so that the Las Terrenas area can be used for other productions around the world.

At the moment the Swedes are there to film their own version of reality TV.
