Michelle Hunziker Grandma and single Thats how Im happy Tomaso

Michelle Hunziker: «Grandma and single: That’s how I’m happy. Tomaso Trussardi? Resentment and anger are a waste of time»

“Old-fashioned variety has always been my dream; I’m part of the generation that grew up with real diversity – inspired by shows like Mille luci – and staging that in 2.0 mode is a big challenge. Variety is not only singing and dancing, but also emotions, laughter, comedy, entertainment». Michelle Impossible & Friends, the second installment of Michelle Hunziker’s one-woman show, airs three Wednesdays in prime time on Canale 5. Guests like in Sanremo: Eros Ramazzotti, Loredana Berté, Max Pezzali, Alessandro Siani, Bisio, Favino, Il Volo , Article 31, Belén, Pio and Amedeo, Chiambretti…

Variety is drag TV these days…
“Many of us are fighting to ensure that generalist television can survive in a world that offers so many alternatives. The solution and the ambition is to create an appointment, an event like the Sanremo Festival or a big soccer match; Creating attention and expectation for something that “must be seen”. Social networks can also help in this sense, with viral content, with memes: they should not only be seen as a means of stealing publicity from television».

Her ex-husband Eros Ramazzotti and her daughter Aurora will also be there. They will accuse you of Parentopolis…
“What parentopolis! We will celebrate Eros and it will also be very emotional to hear him talk about non-parenting and everything that comes with it. It will be an extremely joyful and amusing moment».

Her daughter Aurora is about to make her a grandmother at just 46. How do you experience the noun “grandmother”?
«I’m not impressed, on the contrary, I annoyed my daughter a lot in that sense. It’s very strange when I think about the baby that’s about to be born, I’m only 19 years older than Auri, I experience her pregnancy with incredible intensity, like a fourth motherhood, I still have two little girls to raise (I had from Tomaso Trussardi, ed) I will have a house full of children… I am proud to be able to be such a young grandmother because I can mess with my nephew: I will ski with him, sport drive, I still have a lot of energy ».

Many also envy her for her relationship with Eros. How do you get along with an ex?
“The greatest investment you can make in your life is to realize that the parental relationship is a great gift and that you have to invest in it. It takes time, but I hope it’s the same with Tomaso: to be able to love each other and to understand that beautiful things need to be saved is my goal. For me that goes without saying.”

For many ex-couples, however, resentment and anger prevail…
‘It’s wasted, useless time. Nobody is perfect, first of all us. Things happen: how can you not love this piece, not save it? It is clear that at the beginning there is pain, but over time it disappears. I really don’t know these feelings, I’m always very sincere in relationships, I always say what I think. Maybe that will help kick everything out.”

His current emotional state?
“I’m single and so happy I’m in a moment that I’m enough sentimental it’s so ok.”

Things are also going well professionally: have you ever had a setback?
‘Who hasn’t had blows, wrongs, doors in the face? But I have a selective memory for beautiful things and I remove all negativity from my mind. However, it is experiences that shape you and give you an opportunity to understand which direction to take. Low blows are good, you learn to stay alert.

Has your selective memory also made you forget criticism?
«No, the common thread of my existence in the world of entertainment can be summed up in two sentences: How much useless joy. What will ever make you laugh? I’ve heard all sorts of things about the hyena riders: but that’s me, you have to respect your own nature. Behind a smile there can be shyness, inadequacy, fear or a way out of an embarrassing situation. It has always been my way of going beyond things, even in the most difficult moments it has helped me».

What did her parents prophesy to her?
«I was born in a country like Switzerland, where entertainment is not at the top of the wish list. I wanted to be an interpreter, I grew up speaking four languages, which is normal for me. The only thing that didn’t count here was my Abitur and I had to re-register for high school. I was 17 and my companions were 14. It was a trauma and I had to take different paths».
