Dozens of Palestinians were also wounded and hospitalized after an Israeli raid on the occupied West Bank city.

Ramallah, Occupied West Bank – According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, at least three Palestinians were killed and dozens wounded in an Israeli army raid in the occupied West Bank city of Nablus.

The ministry said on Wednesday that four of the 36 wounded hospitalized were in serious condition.

According to initial reports, most of the wounded were hit by live ammunition.

According to the ministry, the three people killed were Adnan Sabe’ Baara, 72; Mohammad Khaled Anbousi, 25; and Tamer Minawi, 33.

Extended confrontations broke out soon after the army invaded Nablus at 10:00 (08:00 GMT) with dozens of armored vehicles and special forces.

The army blocked all entrances to the city before surrounding a house reportedly housing a wanted Palestinian fighter, Hossam Isleem. His fate remains unclear.

The Lion’s Den armed group said in a statement that it was involved in clashes with Israeli forces during the raid along with the recently announced Balata Brigades group.

The Israeli army said “security forces are now operating in the city of Nablus,” but gave no further details.

The number of Palestinians killed by Israeli forces since early 2023 has now risen to 54 people, including 12 children, in the occupied territories.

Civilians who opposed the Israeli army in raids and bystanders were also killed, as were Palestinian fighters in targeted assassinations and in armed clashes.
