This was announced by Yanick Gagné, General Manager of the Quebec M18 AAA League, and Michel Simard, President and Governor of the Elites. The two men held a press conference in Saguenay.

Last week, the Journal de Montréal’s Bureau of Investigation exposed Dubé’s reprehensible behavior. The coach made homophobic remarks towards his players during the 2021-2022 season, encouraging them to harm themselves.

After a complaint and investigation, the LHM18AAAQ Integrity Protection Committee served Dubé with a warning but allowed him to maintain his position. After the outcry over the public disclosure of this affair, the head coach handed in his resignation last Thursday.

A few days later, the players and parents of the 2022-2023 elite squad released an open letter demanding the return of the pilot.
