One of the most cartoonish characters in The Simpsons animated series is Charles Montgomery Plantagenet Schicklgruber “Monty” Burns, popularly known as Mr. Burns.

The antagonist is a selfish and also Machiavellian billionaire who, despite his fragility, always tries to take advantage of situations. He was originally voiced by Christopher Collins.

Later, actor and comedian Harry Shearer began to interpret his voice in the original version. A stereotype of corporate America, Burns is always looking to increase his wealth even further.

The businessman does not even remember the names of his employees and does not care about their safety and wellbeing. One of his most striking phrases on the show is “Excellent….”, always said whenever he’s up to something.

His net worth is estimated at over $1.3 billion, making him the wealthiest resident of Springfield. Burns was named the 45th most famous villain of all time by Wizard Magazine.

Most of the time, he sits in his office at the city’s nuclear power plant, watching what his workers are doing through the company’s camera system.
