Bing AI Access: How to Quickly Access the Microsoft ChatGPT Tool

Microsoft’s Bing search engine, powered by ChatGPT’s artificial intelligence (AI), has been attracting a lot of attention lately. Nobody denigrates Bing now, on the contrary, many want to try the AI recipe of a web search engine to create maps, routes, menus and a thousand things previously impossible with Google, DuckDuckGo, AOL and Tutti Quanti.

However, Microsoft is known to have a waiting list to restrict access to Bing AI so it doesn’t get overloaded with requests per million every minute.

As you can imagine, the list is quite long. Microsoft Vice President Yusuf Mehdi recently tweeted that millions had been put on the waiting list and outlined the rollout process.

As a reminder, ChatGPT is the result of a collaboration between Microsoft and OpenAI, creators of the controversial ChatGPT service, which could lead to real competition for Google.

Several websites dedicated to computer technologies, such as PCMag.com, have indicated the procedures to follow to access the new Bing faster.

to follow instructions

The first step is to join the Microsoft Bing AI waitlist.

  • Sign in with your Microsoft account (of course!) if you have one.
  • You are now on the basic list. A confirmation email will be sent to you.
  • After that, you will see the option for faster access.

Microsoft has a few suggestions on how best to get you up the list – and it will greatly improve the visibility of this giant’s content on your devices.

  • Make Edge your default browser (of course on Windows, but also on macOS and Linux).
  • Make Bing your default search engine.
  • Make MSN your default home page.
  • Pin Bing.com to the taskbar.
  • Add Microsoft recommended sites to favorites.
  • Create a desktop shortcut for Microsoft Edge.
  • Download the Bing app for your mobile phone.

If you are using macOS…

macOS users can’t get all of these Windows defaults, of course, but the Quick Access link on your Mac will take you to the Bing wallpaper for faster access. And in Firefox, it adds the Bing extension to this alternative browser. Apple users can also install the mobile app on their iPhone.

If you’ve been paying attention to Microsoft’s announcements, you know that new AI conversation and text generation capabilities are also coming to the Edge web browser, which is available for both Linux and macOS, as well as Windows. Keep in mind that new AI capabilities will be built into Edge and will be available on Bing’s website and mobile app.

As with Windows, there is an Edge Insider program that gives users a taste of new features to come in future versions of the software.

This procedure is not a panacea for bypassing the queue, just a way to access it faster (according to Microsoft).
