Here is the list of official winners of Putin Week 2023 – Silo 57

That’s it! The big winners Putin weekthe one from 1 on February 14th, were FINALLY announced!

During this special week to determine which restaurant offers the best Putin in town, customers from the various participating restaurants are invited to vote for their favorite version of this quintessential Quebec dish, but pimped for the occasion. The votes are now counted!

Here are the big winners from this edition of Putin Week 2023.

Best Poutines in Montreal:

1. La Belle Tonki with the Tonkiyaki

La Belle Tonki restaurant has won the hearts of Montrealers with its tonkiyaki Putin. The latter celebrates the octopus like no other. It consists of brown sauce of sake and dashi, octopus cooked in a bath of mirin, bonito, fries, cheese curd, kewpie mayo, okonomiyaki sauce, furikake and green onions. It’s the second best Putin in Canada.

2. Hard fat with Birria de Jalisco beef Putin

The decadence of this braised beef Putin will have paid off as it’s the second Putin of Montreal’s best poutines. Try it at the Central, just a stone’s throw from the Quartier des Spectacles.

3. Restaurant Maamm Bolduc with Putin at Beef from the Faubourgs à m’lasse

Maamm Bolduc pays homage to Montreal’s Old Quarter with this decadent Putin. Braised beef, mushroom sauce, carrots, spring onions and pickled onions make up this dish. This Putin peaked at number five on the Canadian charts. Congratulations!

1. La Gaspésienne 51 with identity crisis Putin

The gang at this Quebec City restaurant have combined their two most popular dishes: Putin and lasagna! The lasagna consists of northern shrimp, scallops, lobster, snow crab, salmon and a candied leek sauce. The Putin, for its part, includes Le Gaspésien cheese curd, Anticosti Island lobster, Nordic prawns, homemade fries and an incredible sponge cake icing to coat everything. It was this Putin that won first place in Canada.

2. Holy Burgers with Putin Marto Nap’Holy

Find a smashed patty, Marto’s Powerdog sausage, a creamy petit cheese sauce topped with Marto’s Firebarns Bourbon Bacon Sauce and spring onions in this decadent Putin.

3. Miyagi Bistro Thai & Sushi with Putin Kpop

MIYAGI hits hard! For the 2023 edition, Bistro Thaï presented K-Pop. Korean kogo made from pure beef sausage, mozzarella, ramen rub, topped with a BBQ emulsion, wafu and teriyaki. It makes you salivate! Served on Putin: red potato fries, Saint Laurent cheese curd, classic sauce and homemade BBQ. Everything is topped with pearl onion confit with mirin and Japanese whiskey and red cabbage with maple smoked bacon.
