Keen-eyed viewers have called out an embarrassing editing error in the latest episode of the hit HBO series The Last of Us.

The post-apocalyptic drama, which was enthusiastically received by critics, follows two survivors of a fungal pandemic that turns infected humans into zombie-like creatures.

The show’s sixth episode aired on Sunday and sees the pair traversing the snowy wilderness of Wyoming — only they weren’t alone.

Viewer Chase Osborne took to TikTok to share a screenshot that showed a film crew prominently in a scene being filmed overhead by a drone.

“About 15 minutes later. They may have accidentally left some of the film crew in the shot,” Osborne captioned his viral video, which has racked up more than 216,000 views.

Dozens of other TikTok users took to the comments section and said they noticed the bug as well.

“HBO editors always slack off,” one wrote.

“How can these multi-million dollar productions miss this stuff? I’m more valuable with my 5-minute YouTube drone video,” explained another angry viewer.

Meanwhile, several others claimed the awkward moment was reminiscent of another infamous HBO editing error.

In 2019, the network went red in the face when an anachronistic coffee mug was featured in an episode of Game of Thrones.

Other viewers, however, defended The Last of Us editors, saying the show was so captivating they just didn’t notice the small flaw.

“I was too distracted looking at the beautiful view instead of taking care of the little issues they overlooked,” explained a defender.

“Bro, who’s looking at the edges of the screen?” asked another.

Back in 2019, an episode of Game of Thrones featured a coffee mug from another era, seen on the table in front of actress Emilia Clarke (far right).

The series was a smash hit for HBO, garnering more than 7.5 million cable television viewers and millions more through streamer HBO Max.
