Seven arrests in Hells Angels anti-drug strike

A major anti-drug strike by the Sûreté du Québec at MRC Pierre-De Saurel in Montérégie led to the arrest of seven people Wednesday morning, including some with Hells Angels ties.

The suspects, aged 22 to 69, are from Sorel-Tracy, Saint-Gérard-Majella, Massueville and Yamaska, areas where they trafficked drugs and weapons, according to SQ. They are expected to appear via video conference later in the day to face charges of conspiracy, drug possession, possession for trafficking, drug trafficking and money laundering of proceeds of crime.

The SQ trawl follows an extensive investigation that began in November 2020 and led to searches conducted in June 2021, SQ spokeswoman Audrey-Anne Bilodeau said.
