DaBaby Charged With Assault For Beating Up A Senior

DaBaby is in the headlines again, and this time he could face jail time for beating up an elderly man who tried to stop the rap star’s video shoot.

Rapper DaBaby is in serious legal trouble after beating up a man in his own home during a violent hand-to-hand fight during a video shoot in December 2021.

DaBaby has been charged with violently beating a senior citizen during a video shoot gone wrong.

Gary Pagar rented his Runyon Canyon vacation home to DaBaby during the height of COVID-19 restrictions in Los Angeles. The rapper signed a lease that, among other things, stated that only 12 people were allowed on the property.

However, DaBaby broke the rules and invited over 40 people to shoot the video at the house, including YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul.

Pagar got wind of the wild scene at his home and tried to stop the shenanigans. When he arrived, he was thrown to the ground.

He chased the senior around the property. When he finally caught up with Pagar, DaBaby punched him in the mouth and knocked out a tooth.

As the man fell to the ground, DaBaby, a man named Thankgod Awute, and her crew stomped and kicked Pagar while he writhed in pain. They also took Pagar’s phone and tossed it to prevent him from calling the police.

Eventually, Pagar regained control of his phone and called the police. To add insult to injury to Pagar, DaBaby never paid the rent bill.

DaBaby faces assault charges while Awute faces robbery charges.

The news follows video that has resurfaced of DaBaby shooting and killing a teenager at a Walmart in Charlotte in November 2018.

DaBaby was out shopping when he got into a fight after a group of men accosted him in the store. The rapper said Jaylin Craig pulled a gun during the brawl, prompting DaBaby to pull his own gun and kill the 19-year-old.

Earlier this month, DaBaby shot an intruder in the leg after trespassing on his North Carolina property.

The 30-year-old rapper, real name Jonathan Kirk, was at home on his Troutman compound when the man entered the property Wednesday night.

DaBaby exchanged words with the intruder before shooting him in the leg. He reportedly called 911 and cooperated with local police officers.

According to the emergency call from local news station WCNC, an unidentified man told dispatchers, “I shot him in the leg… He’s entering my property… I don’t know why he’s here. What to take, what to do here… He’s neutralized until you get here.”

Officers arrived and found a 26-year-old man suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound, the Troutman Police Department said in a statement.

The victim was taken to a nearby medical facility for treatment of the injury.

Local reports suggest the intruder climbed over a fence and was shot dead on the property’s soccer field.
