London is the best city in the world in 2023, according to the traditional annual World’s Best Cities ranking, conducted by global events marketing consultancy Resonance. The survey is considered by the Bloomberg agency to be one of the most complete in the world.
His study which takes into account climate, environment, security, heritage protection, financial prosperity, population diversity, infrastructure, cultural programs and the spread of activity across the network of destinations with a population of more than 1 million people dedicated the British capital to the renaissance of its postwar cosmopolitan effervescence Pandemic.
However, in this year’s edition, a caveat was made to single out Kiev, Ukraine as the “Best Honorable City of 2023” for its resistance efforts, maintaining its services, and popular support in the face of the Russian invasion. The final list also included two representatives from Brazil the first of them, São Paulo, in 33rd place.
The largest South American metropolis was considered inclusive because it hosts large immigrant communities from Italy, Japan and the Middle East (Syrians and Lebanese). In terms of gastronomy, it was the third best city in the world only behind London and New York thanks to a wide range of good restaurants.

When it comes to culture, it is the fourth largest tourist destination in the world due to its extensive program of shows and events. Another highlight was staying at the Rosewood São Paulo, the beautiful hotel with rooms designed by Philippe Starck, and the charm of the drinks in the Skybar at Hotel Ca’d’Oro with panoramic views over the city.
The second national representative was Rio de Janeiro at number 54, considered “a treat for the senses” for its tropical and sensual beaches, sambafuelled nightlife and the beauty of its natural peaks. His landscapes earned the Marvelous City 7th place in the Outdoor category and 29th place in Historic Landmarks. Its cultural life ranks 10th in the world.

The World’s Best Cities recommends a visit to Lapa ranked 32nd best nightlife in the world and the Museum of Image and Sound (MIS) in Copacabana, designed by the architectural team behind New York’s High Line Suspended Park. In addition, not to be missed are hiking trails in Tijuca and the already traditional climbs to Christ and cable car rides to Pão de Açúcar.

In addition to welcoming tourists with open arms after Covid19, the town hall has prioritized urban planning, which has transformed the bed of the Seine the restoration of NotreDame will also open a park around it and its periphery to host the Olympic Games 2024.

“Futuristic” was how the Asian metropolis was defined, its strengths being security, the expansion of Haneda Airport and “the best shopping experiences in the world” with many boutiques, fun niche popups (like one dedicated to the series “Stranger Things” ) and various department stores throughout the city. The various restaurant offerings are also successful.
5th place: Dubai in the United Arab Emirates

The words that define the emirate are “safety” and most importantly, “luxury”. Besides unique and sublime experiences like visiting the tallest building in the world, the Burj Khalifa the city has conquered tourists with unique and glamorous sensory attractions like the Museum of the Future or the Aura Skypool, a 360º infinity pool, the tallest in the world . As well as housing the “most glamorous” new resort with news, Atlantis Royal, it still offers plenty of good deals.
6th: Barcelona, Spain

Mild climate, colorful and unique architecture, beautiful beaches: Barcelona is an undeniable tourist magnet that has emptied thanks to the pandemic. That hiatus gave the city time to reorganize, and now it has turned car zones into bike lanes and boulevards where pedestrians can drink, chat, or relax outdoors. Strolling along Passeig de Sant Joan or sampling delicacies at Mercat de l’Abaceria are mustdos.

Rich, Singapore is home to many multimillion dollar companies and as such has invested in luxury stores for residents and visitors with high spending power. Its Orchard Road became a kind of Fifth Avenue (like in New York), full of designer boutiques. However, thanks to the megaequipped Changi Airport, its safe roads and wide corridor for bicycles, it has also proved to be a good safe haven for tourists.
