The St. Louis Blues are in serious danger of missing the next playoffs and a loss to the struggling Vancouver Canucks on Thursday didn’t help them, infuriating their head coach Craig Berube.

The latter expressed his great disappointment after losing 3-2 in extra time at home.
The gap in the standings widens, the disappointing Blues sitting 11 points in a playoff-entry spot. And trying to climb the slope isn’t enough, according to the former National Hockey League (NHL) strongman.
“A lot of our best players aren’t doing their jobs. I don’t know why, but you should ask her. I can imagine that they don’t care about the team,” he replied shortly in a press conference after the game.
Berube elaborated by pointing out that attackers like Jordan Kyrou and Robert Thomas hadn’t worked hard enough and that they would do well to follow the lead of younger players. The Blues’ two total point leaders ended the evening with a combined difference of -3.
“Our best move without any passion, emotion or inspiration. They don’t play inspired hockey. You cannot perform in this league without emotion and determination. They earn a lot of money and don’t do their jobs,” the trainer complained.
play with heart
Alexey Toropchenko, who was identified as one of the rare hockey players who did well on Thursday, also believes that the whole team can do much better, even if management obviously decided to think about next season by recently killing Vladimir Tarasenko and Ryan O’Reilly exchanged.
“Even if we’re not able to make the playoffs, I’m going to leave everything on the ice because it’s a hockey game. It’s the NHL, not a beer league. You have to show meaningful stuff and character and be solid all over if you’re playing with heart,” he said.
