In a recent South Park episode called The Worldwide Privacy Tour, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were brutally mocked.

Markle, 41, was reportedly “upset and overwhelmed” by it, and the pair’s US approval ratings have even plummeted. Despite rumors of a lawsuit, the couple’s rep told The Post that Harry and Meghan thought the episode was “frankly nonsense… totally baseless and boring” and denied allegations that the couple planned to sue.

Creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone were unfazed by the uproar, recalling a long history of court cases, including fights with Scientology over their infamous episode mocking Tom Cruise.

The episode follows cartoon characters who claim to want to stay out of the spotlight but go on various talk shows. They are similar to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex but don’t get their official names on the show. If you missed the episode or watched it but missed some Easter eggs, here’s what you need to know.

A nod to the candle nudges

In the show, the characters attend the funeral of the “Canadian Queen” and walk past a candle. Keep in mind that in real life, when the Queen’s funeral was televised, there were rumors that the royal family put Markle behind a candle so she would hardly be seen during the broadcast.

memoir mockery

In the episode, the character comparable to Prince Harry promotes a book called “Waagh”. On-screen, a character complains, “They parked this giant jet in front of my house and they keep asking me to buy their book.”

In real life, of course, Harry has made headlines with his best-selling and controversial memoir, Spare.

In memory of the frozen member

In his memoir, Prince Harry famously gave away too much information about his frozen “Todger.” On the show, the Harry character says at one point, “This is an outrage — we’ll just see how he handles my blue penis.”

Lost in translation

In real life, Meghan Markle has given interviews to several outlets such as Vogue and Variety. As a result, the Meghan-like character can be seen on the cover of the fictional G2 magazine. The cover says “Princess Anus”. This is a pun on the Latin phrase that appeared on her real GQ cover – “Meghan’s annus mirabilis” – which translates to “Meghan’s wonderful year”.

role playing game

On-screen, the fictional couple meets with a brand executive, who refers to the Meghan character as a “sisterhood girl, actress, influencer and victim,” while the Harry character is dubbed “prince royal, millionaire, world traveler, victim.” The Meghan character is also described as “pretending to be a lawyer,” a nod to Markle’s days as an actress on US series Suits.

Mixed news

Harry and Meghan sat down with Oprah in real life and also released a six-part Netflix documentary about their relationship. Many have pointed out that their endless self-promotion is at odds with their perceived desire for privacy.

On the show, the characters make an appearance on “Good Morning Canada” to claim they want privacy. The Meghan character holds a sign that reads, “Stop looking at us,” while the Harry character’s sign reads, “We want our privacy.”

Further down

In real life, Harry and Meghan made headlines with their 2020 retirement from the royal family and relocation to California. On the show, the couple moves to South Park and the Meghan character says, “If we moved here, people would think we were really serious about wanting to be normal.”
