NHL teams have just one week left to trade for the home leg of the season and the playoffs. But forward Patrick Kane could very well change his address before the fateful date.

In fact, Kane would have to decide within the next 24 hours whether or not to waive the no-move clause in his contract, which would open the door to a deal. At least that’s what journalist Chris Johnston from the TSN network suggests.
Several teams would be keen to get their hands on the dynamic forward, including New York Rangers, although they have already signed Russian forward Vladimir Tarasenko.
Kane isn’t having a great season in 2022-23 with 45 points in 54 games, but he has had 10 points in his last four games.
Kane will be eligible for full free agent status next summer and his roster is struggling on the ice. Despite four straight wins, Chicago ranks 30th overall in the National League with 45 points.
We’re still a week away from the NHL trade deadline, but word is that the Patrick Kane situation will come to a head long before that. Expect a resolution in the next 24 hours or so. I’m told Kane hasn’t waived his no-movement clause to facilitate a deal as of now.
Stay tuned.
