Global superstar Ed Sheeran has taken some time off his busy tour schedule in Australia to surprise sick children at Sydney Children’s Hospital Randwick.

The Shape Of You hitmaker was spotted outside Sydney Hospital on Saturday before taking his math tour to the city’s Accor Stadium that evening.

The British singer-songwriter showed off his colorful tattoos while wearing a white t-shirt, green shorts and Nike trainers.

His crew – who all wore masks – were also with him as one carried his guitar ahead of the impromptu performance.

The 32-year-old has made it a habit to give back to his young fans while touring Down Under, as he also surprised children and teenagers at the Queensland Children’s Hospital last weekend.

During a hospital visit in Queensland, a teenage girl’s dreams were fulfilled when she got to sing alongside the pop star.

Keasine Latu – who happily is now cancer-free – was lucky not only to meet her idol and hear some of his biggest hits, but she shared a special moment with him when they performed a duet.

She told the Today Show on Channel 9 that she was “so nervous” but it was the best experience of her life.

“I was put on the spot, the cameraman told him I could sing and it was in front of everyone, so I just started singing,” she told the program.

“It was the best thing I’ve ever experienced in my life, meeting Ed Sheeran was amazing.”

A hospital worker said Ed “seemed really wanting to be there” as he chatted to patients before and after the stripped-down performance.

“He really sat down, chatted with the kids, found out where they came from, their stories, which was really nice,” they said.

“I gagged a bit. I was so stunned because he was right next to me singing and I was so nervous I forgot the lyrics,” said one viewer.

Ed has just wrapped up three shows in Brisbane and will be playing two shows in Sydney this weekend before heading to Melbourne and Adelaide.

He was pictured with his wife Cherry Seaborn, 30, and their two children Lyra Antarctica, two, and Jupiter, nine months, on the beach at Byron Bay on Sunday.

Ed and Cherry are children’s favorites since they grew up in the same town. They rekindled their romance in 2014 and married in a small ceremony five years later.
