Emmanuel Macron announced this Saturday, February 25, that he would travel to China “early April” and called on Beijing to “help us put pressure on Russia” to “stop the aggression” and “ to make peace”.

The day after China released a document calling for peace talks and a “political solution,” the French leader, speaking on the sidelines of a visit to the agricultural show, said that peace “will only be possible if it is supported by a halt to the Russian Aggression, withdrawal of troops and respect for territorial sovereignty and the Ukrainian people”.
