Kevin Quevedo will play in League 1: ex-Alianza Lima striker was introduced by the Cusco team

Kevin Quevedo will play in League 1 after ending his contract with Melgar. The former Alianza Lima footballer will continue in the province but managed to reach a Lima team.

Kevin QuevedoThe 26-year-old player finally got a team for the 2023 season and will stay in League 1. After ending his relationship with Melgar in late 2022, the winger remained free for several weeks and his future was uncertain. However, this Friday, February 24, the former Alianza Lima soccer player was announced through a picture from the city of Cusco: Deportivo Garcilaso.

The attacker mattered little in the final stages of his final year with Melgar. He didn’t even make it to the semifinals and finals. His poor performances would have condemned his future in Arequipa, so it was not renewed.

Now, with Garcilaso recently promoted, Quevedo will be looking for his best version to once again be considered one of the best players in League 1 and also earn a call-up to the Peru team.

“We are pleased to announce the arrival of Peruvian soccer player Kevin Quevedo. The 26-year-old winger comes to bravely defend the colors of Pedacito de Cielo,” published Deportivo Garcilaso on their social networks.

Kevin Quevedo was able to reach Sport Boys

Kevin Quevedo will continue his career at Deportivo Garcilaso but his future could have been different given the possibility that he could have been signed by Sport Boys.

According to journalist Diego Sotomayor, the Missilera would have had the attacker on the radar to be part of the group led by Guillermo Sanguinetti. However, the Rosés were slow to make contact with the winger.
