DaBaby Charged with Offense in Alleged Assault on Music Video Shoot – Report – XXLMAG.COM

DaBaby was hit with a battery charge by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office for an alleged assault that took place during a music video shoot last December.

According to a report on TMZ published on Saturday (Dec.

The alleged victim, Gary Pagar, is suing DaBaby, claiming he punched him in the mouth and knocked out a tooth in December. According to court documents obtained by XXL, the man alleges the attack occurred because he was trying to stop the North Carolina rapper from filming a music video at his rental property because he exceeded the 12-person guest limit, which violated the terms of the lease and COVID-19 restrictions.

Pagar alleges in his lawsuit that he was told the “rock star” artist repeatedly breached the lease during his week-long stay, so he decided to inspect the property on Dec. 2. When he arrived, Pager claimed that Baby had 40 people at home with a whole film crew.

When Pagar tried to finish the video shoot, he claimed to have been pushed to the ground by an unidentified man, which was caught on video.

The unidentified person may be Thanksgod Awute, who prosecutors claim was DaBaby’s accomplice, according to TMZ. He was charged with robbery.

Pager claims DaBaby got out of a car, chased him back inside, and advised him not to call the police. Pagar claims this is when he was attacked and left with a bloody mouth and a missing tooth. Eventually, someone at the scene called the police, and DaBaby and his crew fled, allegedly taking Pagar’s phone and “valuable kitchenware.”

Pagar also alleges in his lawsuit that DaBaby left the scene without paying the full amount of the bill and damaged several items in the home, including a destroyed security camera, to hide her breach of the lease. In total, Pagar listed rental fees and damages as $117,910.48.

DaBaby manager Kinsza Virgil is also being sued. A damages hearing is scheduled for June 21 at the Stanley Mosk Courthouse in Los Angeles.

XXL has reached out to the LA County Attorney’s office and DaBaby representatives for comment.

DaBaby is facing multiple lawsuits, including one from DaniLeigh’s brother, Brandon Bills, who is suing him over an altercation that occurred at a bowling alley earlier this year.
