A 351 point game in the NBA!

On Friday night, the Sacramento Kings and Los Angeles Clippers amassed no fewer than 351 points in a marathon-like game that ended in second overtime.

That kind of feat has been unheard of in nearly 40 years and it’s the second most productive game in NBA history. The record belongs to the Detroit Pistons and Denver Nuggets, who had a combined 370 points in December 1983… after three overtimes.

The Kings eventually won 176-175 thanks to 45 points from Malik Monk and 42 from De’Aaron Fox. For the Clippers, Kawhi Leonard was the best on his team with 44 points.

Only for the sixth and seventh time has a team managed to exceed the plateau of 170 points in a meeting. California teams also set the all-time three-point shooting record with 44 from downtown.
