Ant And Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway was hit by backlash on Saturday night when viewers were unfazed by a baby scan prank on an expectant father.
Liam, a series prankster, was pranked by wife Amy in collaboration with the host duo in the first episode of the new series.
Amy has enlisted the help of Ant and Dec to get revenge on Liam for pranking her.
In the scan scene, a video played of a baby not belonging to Liam and Amys making rock star signs as the song Bohemian Rhapsody played, and also waving.
The bizarre sketch also saw the child play hide and seek, which stunned Liam.

However, some fans of the show admitted the prank left a bad taste in their mouth, saying on Twitter that the sketch was not appropriate or appreciated.
One person wrote: “No sorry #SaturdayNightTakeaway sketch of parents ranked just a bit on scan.
“As someone who has been trying for a baby for 13 years, being able to attend a scan is my absolute dream. You don’t get more important personal experiences like this in life.
‘Unkind. Even if you are a “joke”.
Another added: “I love Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway but the baby scan prank wasn’t cool.”
A third said: “Such bad taste for the Saturday night takeout to prank on a baby scan.”
And another person wrote, “Totally agree…disgusted” in response to another unimpressed tweet about the skit.
Meanwhile, someone else said: “The photoshoot is kinda funny, it’s always repeatable. But having the 4D scan ruined makes me really uncomfortable.
“Especially when you know how easy it is for things to go wrong during pregnancy.”

At the end of the prank segment, Ant and Dec revealed to Amy and Liam that they had set up a child savings account for Finley and they were putting in £1,000 a year until he turned 18.
