According to co star the sale of Sunsets Christine Quinn

According to co-star – the sale of Sunset’s Christine Quinn may have faced “legal issues” over alleged bribery in Season 5

In the dramatic fifth season of Selling Sunset, a slew of new accusations, insinuations and implications have been thrown around by the real estate agents of the Oppenheim Group. Emma Hernan had shared that actor Ben Affleck not only dated her once on the Raya dating app, but that he also followed her – prompting a response from Affleck himself and a little clarification from Hernan lately. In another scandalous story, Hernan accused Christine Quinn of allegedly bribing one of her clients to switch allegiances. And apparently, had things gone a little further, Quinn could have faced serious “legal issues” for the situation, according to another co-star.

The client in question was apparently offered $5,000 by Christine Quinn to change her choice of representation from Emma Hernan to herself. When realtor Jason Oppenheim and newly appointed Vice President Mary Fitzgerald were finally brought to the attention, it seemed like Quinn was going to get a stern reprimand at work — but she never showed up for the meeting during the Season 5 finale. Since then there has been no more talk of interference by the authorities. But Fitzgerald told E! News that things would have escalated back then had other factors been slightly different. She said,

If Emma had already signed the listing agreement, which she was preparing to do, it would be illegal. So [Christine] If she lost her driver’s license, she would lose everything. But fortunately the listing agreement for this particular property has not yet been signed. Otherwise she would have legal problems.

During a confessional to Selling Sunset, Christine Quinn had denied the allegations, saying Emma Hernan was just “trying to stir the pot.” Still, Mary Fitzgerald added to the outlet that the Oppenheim Group had done their due diligence and “backed up the story.” Fitzgerald admonished the reported bribery and hinted that things might not be looking up for Quinn’s future position in the office:

We pride ourselves on our integrity and the way we treat clients and each other and we can’t have that at our brokerage firm. It’s just not okay.

Honestly, Christine Quinn has been accused of many things by her co-stars over the years. Mostly, it was over-perceived “mean girl” activities and lies that were circulated within the group, leading to fans dubbing her the show’s “bad guy” and speculating that even her pregnancy last season was fabricated. However, the reality star claims that this is all essentially nonsense as Netflix and the editing are to blame for her posing as the villain.

As of this writing, it hasn’t been officially confirmed if Christine Quinn was actually fired from the LA agency for alleged bribery, despite the cliffhanger in the Selling Sunset finale implying it. However, the 33-year-old is no longer represented on the Oppenheim Group’s team page for their website. And her other co-star, Vanessa Villela, recently revealed to Page Six that she didn’t show up to film the upcoming reunion special with everyone. So it seems quite likely that even if Quinn narrowly avoided the legal ramifications for her actions, she still faced some at work.

If so, it’s only logical to assume Christine Quinn won’t be there to wreak havoc on Season 6 of Selling Sunset. Freshman star Chelsea Lazkani – who has spoken out about being a “role model” and campaigning for more black women on the show – may have to pick up that mantle in the coming days.
