Another Saturday means another action-packed college hoop chalkboard on FOX and FS1!
We’ve got you covered with all the action, starting with Villanova’s crucial Big East win over No. 19 Creighton in Philadelphia, followed by UConn’s No. 4 comeback on the road to beat DePaul in the women’s.
Finally, men’s basketball is back in the spotlight as Indiana No. 17 battles regional rival No. 5 Purdue while No. 10 Marquette hosts DePaul.
Here are the top moments!
#17 Indiana at #5 Purdue
Here we go!
Purdue started with a 6-0 run. Indiana soon found a rhythm thanks to the efforts of Trey Galloway.
Too smooth
The Hoosiers pulled within two points early, but Purdue’s Ethan Morton widened the gap once again with that 3-pointer.
star power
Zach Edey made back-to-back jumpers to make it a seven-point game, 17-10, near the halftime mark in the first half.
Warm up
Indiana’s Jalen Hood-Schifino had a tear in the first half, closing the gap significantly and making it a one-point game, 23-24, with 8:14 to play before the break.
The Hoosiers continued to heat up, drawing 38-34 within four points at halftime.
DePaul at No. 10 Marquette
Show yourself in style
Marquette was the first to strike in the game when Kam Jones hit back-to-back 3-pointers to set the tone early.
Have a flight!
Jones couldn’t be stopped as the first half went on, dumping another 3 early.
return the favor
Jalen Terry responded with a much-needed punch as DePaul went to work and attempted to attack Marquette’s lead.
No slowdown
Marquette went on a 13-0 run late in the first half to make it a 20-point game, 37-17, with 3:24 to play before halftime.
The Golden Eagles didn’t let it go in the first half either and went into the break with a commanding double-digit lead of 49:28. Marquette shot 52.8% in the first half, 52.4% of which was from long range, while DePaul shot just 42.9%.

79 Villanova, No. 19 Creighton 67
We go back and forth
Villanova connected it early when Eric Dixon threw it in after a nice pass. He had eight points early.
Off the screen!
Senior guard Justin Moore drilled a 3-pointer as Villanova extended the lead to 20-12 midway through the first half.
Live lavishly
There’s something endearing about seeing a left-hander do the way Dixon does from deep, and he tapped in a pretty Trey to extend Nova’s lead to double digits.
The big guy, whose hometown is less than 20 miles from Villanova, exploded in the first half, knocking down shot after shot en route to 18 points. The Wildcats led 38-24 after 20 minutes.

Eric Dixon’s 31-point performance lifts ‘Nova to anger at No. 19 Creighton
High on top, hard on bottom
If Creighton was looking to fight his way back into the matchup, Ryan Kalkbrenner was vital to that pursuit.
He got things going early in the second half with that easy two on a lob.
To bend
Creighton climbed to 12 points midway through the second half with that tough 1-1 finish from Arthur Kaluma.
Cam the closer
In the end, Cam Whitmore helped the Wildcats wrap things up.
The game was a strong performance from a Villanova squad prepared to make a push as March approaches.
#4 UConn 72, DePaul 69 (W)
splash!
At 6ft 5, UConn’s Dorka Juhasz is the tallest player on the Huskies’ roster, and she happens to be a capable marksman from deep.
She showed off her shooting skills in the first quarter and conceded 10 points to secure UConn’s early lead.
Hang around
However, DePaul matched the Huskies’ energy in the first half, hitting a series of hard shots to keep things close.
The score was even 37-all after two quarters.
barrage!
Both teams continued to net in the second half and the matchup remained tight early in the third quarter, led by the mixed shots from both programs.
find a rhythm
But it was DePaul who gained momentum in the fourth period, achieved by a strong finish from inside by KeKe Rimmer.
More from tomorrow
Aneesah Morrow amassed 19 points in three quarters for the Blue Demons, and she continued her tirade in the fourth, keeping her team ahead with difficult shots like this.
Now is my time!
DePaul led in fourth by just over two minutes, but the Huskies went on an 11-4 run late in the fourth and used several clutch jumps to take the lead.
Put it in!
With seconds to play, DePaul’s Anaya Peoples raced to the rim in twos to cut UConn’s lead to one. Nika Muhl, who hit the big 3 for UConn minutes earlier, knocked down two clutch free throws to extend the Huskies’ lead to three.
Peoples failed to convert their last-second attempt at the other end, and UConn walked away with a massive conference win.
THE BEST OF THE REST:
State of Arizona 89, No. 7 Arizona 88
Summer beater!
There weren’t many souls at McKale Memorial Center who believed Arizona State would win at home to No. 7 Arizona as the Sun Devils attempted to hit the ball with less than three seconds left.
However, Desmond Cambridge Jr. was not one of them.
His 60-foot lever from half-court found the bottom of the net to stun Arizona in ASU’s biggest win of the season.

Iowa 112, Michigan 106
The look down
Iowa coach Fran McCaffrey was clearly unhappy with the referees late in Saturday’s game as his team was 1:30 behind Michigan State 91-81 to play in the matter.
His silent testimony to an umpire sparked a 15-5 closing run for the Hawkeyes to force overtime before the team pulled away and won 112-106.
