Paris Hilton says Harvey Weinstein followed her into the bathroom in Cannes in 2000 and tried to open the door: ‘Scared me’

Paris Hilton recently opened up about an alleged encounter with Harvey Weinstein when he followed her into a bathroom and yelled at her more than 20 years ago.

“It scared me and freaked me out,” the hotel heiress said of the 2000 Cannes Film Festival incident involving the convicted sex offender and former Hollywood heavyweight.

The 42-year-old told Glamor UK for the February issue that she first met Weinstein, 70, at the French festival while having lunch with a friend.

“He came to the table and was like, ‘Oh, do you want to be an actress?’ And I said, ‘Yeah, I really want to be in a movie.’ I was a teenager, so I was impressed by him. I was like, ‘Oh my god, Harvey Weinstein is so cool!’ and he said, ‘Well, we should meet. You can come in my room and read scripts’ … and I just didn’t want to leave, so I never went.”

She said the next night at the Foundation for AIDS Research gala that Weinstein, who was sentenced to 16 years in prison this week in Los Angeles after being sentenced to 23 years in New York in 2020, followed her into the ladies’ room.

He screamed, “Do you want to be a star?” She said.

“He was trying to open the door, he was pounding on the door, pounding on it,” she said. “And I wouldn’t open it because I was like, ‘I’m in a booth, why do you want to come in here?’ And I just wouldn’t open it.”

Eventually she said he had to be carried away by security.

“And he said, ‘This is my party!’ freaked out. It scared me and freaked me out.”

The ‘Cooking with Paris’ star said she heard the rumors about him.

“It was just someone who was so powerful in Hollywood that everyone was afraid of,” she told Glamour. “I didn’t even want to say anything about it because I was like, ‘I don’t want people to get mad at me for saying something,’ because it was just a known thing. He was just like that and people were like, ‘Okay, just turn a blind eye.’”

Weinstein has denied her claims.

He told Fox News Digital of his rep, “That never happened.”

The spokesman said: “He has always treated Paris Hilton with the utmost respect and kindness and has always believed that they have a warm relationship. There were a lot of people at AmFar, and that’s demonstrably wrong. Unfortunately, Paris Hilton is trying to meddle in the current news cycle using his name with another creative story. Too bad it’s all too convenient and apparently popular to just say it without anything to back it up.

Hilton also revealed in the interview that she was once raped as a teenager.

She said she and her friends once met some elderly men at a mall in Los Angeles and invited them to one of their homes and provided them with drinks.

“I wasn’t drinking or anything at the time, but once I had maybe a sip or two, I immediately got dizzy and light-headed,” she said. “I don’t know what he put in there, I assume it was a roofie [Rohypnol].”

Despite her fog, she said she remembered what happened.

“I have visions of him covering my mouth, saying, ‘You’re dreaming, you’re dreaming,’ and whispering that in my ear.”

It was her first sexual experience, she said.

She also spoke about the alleged sexual abuse, including overnight pelvic exams, she suffered at the Utah boarding school she was sent to as a teenager and which she first opened last fall.

“It was something I had pushed from my memory, but after hearing the story from other survivors I got flashbacks,” she told Glamour. “Late at night, staff came in and took certain girls and took them to this room. And you would literally scream and cry, they would hold you, four of them, male and female, and literally just put fingers … and just “regularly do things with certain girls,” which she said she was one.
