Connor Bedard put in another impressive performance in Regina on Saturday but still played a minor role in the Pats’ 6-3 win over the Brandon Wheat Kings.

The next star of the Bettman round scored an empty goal and was part of the successes of Tanner Howe and Stanislav Svozil.
However, he was no better than teammate Alexander Suzdalev, who scored a hat-trick for the first time in his Western Hockey League career. The Washington Capitals rising star scored his 32nd, 33rd and 34th goals of the season in the win.
For his part, Bedard now has 54 goals and 114 points in 45 short games.
Nolan Ritchie, Nate Danielson and Evan Groening gave the Wheat Kings a 3-1 lead in the first period. However, the Pats responded with five unanswered goals.
This is the second win in 24 hours for the Regina team against Brandon.
