Ukraine: Russian diaspora in Lithuania protests against Putin ANSA news agency

(ANSA) — VILNIUS, FEBRUARY 25 — About a hundred exiled Russians held a protest rally in central Vilnius today. This was announced by Lithuanian radio and television. Demonstrators marched with banners in support of Ukraine, waved Ukrainian flags and white flags with a blue center ribbon in protest of the war, and left a puppet depicting Vladimir Putin in a cage in Cathedral Square.

“Last year we tried to take part in joint actions with Lithuanians, Belarusians and Ukrainians, and we found that this did not make us visible. We realized that we need separate demonstrations in order not to forget our existence,” said Danil Konstantinov, one of the organizers of the demonstration. (HAND).
