Watch: Residents at the US Senior Center recreate Rihanna's Super Bowl show

Lots of people online said the seniors outdid the pop icon.

People around the world were excited about Rihanna’s long-awaited comeback on stage after she performed a medley of hits at the Super Bowl. Additionally, she announced that she is pregnant with her second child with her partner, rapper A$AP Rocky. Her performance at the Super Bowl halftime show, which saw the Philadelphia Eagles take on the Kansas City Chiefs, dominated the conversation on social media.

Recently, a group of upbeat seniors from an assisted living facility in Kentucky, USA, re-enacted part of Rihanna’s performance. Lots of people online said the seniors outdid the pop icon.

The 12-second clip, posted to Facebook by Arcadia Senior Living Bowling Green, shows 11 women, ages 80-92, dressed all in white. Then a woman dressed all in red appears, holding a microphone and lip-syncing to Rihanna’s “Rude Boy” lyrics.

“Our Halftime Show > Rihanna’s Halftime Show,” reads the post’s caption. Since being shared on the social media platform, the post has garnered over a thousand likes and a hundred comments.

“They would certainly have been a better halftime show,” said one user.

“I love that! These beautiful women are still living their best lives,” one person commented.

A third person said: “That was so amazing to watch. You have fun.”

“These ladies have some moves,” added another user.

“Much better than the actual halftime show!!” remarked one person.

Seniors Martin, Sue Evans and Pat told the New York Post that two Arcadia Senior Living employees in their 20s enthusiastically pushed them to make the now-viral video.
