"Reduces every penny sent to enemies": Nikki Haley Vows to End Aid to Pak, China – NDTV

'Will cut every penny sent to enemies': Nikki Haley vows to end aid to Pak, ChinaWashington:

Nikki Haley, presidential candidate for the US Republican Party, the Grand Old Party (GOP), has said that if she comes to power she will cut every penny of foreign aid to countries the US hates. That includes China, Pakistan, and other adversaries, as “a strong America doesn’t pay off the bad guys.”

“I will cut every penny of foreign aid to countries that hate us. A strong America doesn’t pay off the bad guys. A proud America does not waste our people’s hard-earned money. And the only leaders worthy of our trust are those who stand up to our enemies and stand by our friends,” wrote Ms. Haley, the former governor of South Carolina and former US ambassador to the UN, in a commentary for the New York Post.

America spent $46 billion on foreign aid last year, according to Ms. Haley. That is far more than in any other country. Taxpayers deserve to know where that money goes and what it does. You will be shocked to find that much of this goes to fund anti-American countries and causes.

Nikki Haley officially launched her 2024 campaign for the White House on Feb. 15 (local time), presenting herself to voters as part of a “new generation” of Republican leaders who can win at the ballot box.

Ms. Haley is now the first Indian-American woman from the Republican Party to run for the presidential bid. When the former South Carolina governor and US Ambassador to the United Nations took the stage, Haley introduced herself as the proud daughter of Indian immigrants planning a new future for the Republican Party.

Ms Haley said in the op-ed, citing examples, that the US has given Iran more than $2 billion in recent years, even as its government grows closer to the murderous thugs in Iran who are shouting “Death America!” and launch attacks on our troops.

“The Biden administration has resumed military aid to Pakistan despite the fact that it is home to at least a dozen terrorist organizations and its government has deep ties to China. Team Biden has paid back half a billion dollars to a corrupt United Nations agency designed to help the Palestinian people, but is actually covering up deeply anti-Semitic propaganda against our ally Israel,” she said.

The US has given hundreds of millions of dollars to Zimbabwe, a country with one of the most anti-American voting records at the UN.

American taxpayers still give money to communist China for ridiculous environmental programs, despite the obvious threat China poses to Americans. We give money to Belarus, the closest ally of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin. We even give money to communist Cuba — a country that our own government has declared a state sponsor of terrorism, Haley explained in her op-ed for the New York Post.

“This isn’t just Joe Biden. It’s been happening for decades among presidents of both parties. Our foreign aid policy is stuck in the past. It usually works on autopilot, regardless of the behavior of the countries that receive our help. It will take a determined president to root out this taxpayer rip-off.”

Ms Haley said she was running for President to restore strength, national pride and confidence to the people of the United States. It is wise to support American allies and friends like Israel and Ukraine. Sending our tax dollars to enemies is not.

“I will be that President just as I was that Ambassador,” wrote Nikki Haley.

“As Ambassador, I have strongly supported President Donald Trump’s decision to cut nearly $2 billion in military aid to Pakistan because of that country’s support of terrorists who are killing American troops. It was a great victory for our troops, our taxpayers and our vital interests, but it was like, “We’re not going nearly far enough. We’ve given them far too much other aid. As President, I will block every penny.” continued the US presidential candidate.

Aiming to break away from the “stale ideas and faded ideas” of the past, Indian-American leader Nikki Haley announced on Feb. 15 (Wednesday) her candidacy for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination.

After Republican leader Nikki Haley, another Indian-American healthcare and technology entrepreneur, Vivek Ramaswamy, announced his candidacy for the 2024 US presidential election on Wednesday (local time).

“We’ve celebrated our ‘diversity’ so much that we’ve forgotten what we Americans are really like, bound by ideals that united a divided, wayward group of people 250 years ago. I believe deep in my bones that these ideals still exist. I’m running for president to revive her,” Ramaswamy tweeted in a video announcing his intention to run for president.
