The International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI), the trade association representing the global recording industry, announced that the performer of “Tití me pregunta” became the first Latino to win the Album Award worldwide for his album “Un Verano Sin Ti”.

IFPI also noted that Benito Martínez Ocasio’s fifth album, first named Bad Rabbit, topped the Billboard 200 for 13 non-consecutive weeks and also became the first Spanish-language album to be nominated for Album of the Year at the Grammy Awards.
Although Martínez Ocasio didn’t win Album of the Year at the 65th Grammy Awards, the Puerto Rican won in the Best Urban Music Album category for “Un Verano Sin Ti.”
