“I can’t leave her. I am not ready yet”. Riccardo Fogli revealed the more intimate side in an interview with the I Lunatici program on Rai Radio2. The former Pooh singer, whose father dreamed of becoming a metal worker at the Piombino steel mill, doesn’t deny anything about the past and has no stones in his shoes to take off, not even in relation to the sensational farewell to the Band for Love Patty Pravo: “Pooh deserves the success they have and I deserve to be who I am. We stayed friends.”
Today Fogli is married to Karen Trentini, 30 years younger, he’s in love again, but Patty Pravo will always have a place in his heart: “It’s over because we drove a thousand an hour. We have consumed love. If a couple is given a hundred love jokes, we’ll have used them up in the first six months. It was a very strong love.” However, Riccardo Fogli, winner of the 1982 Sanremo Festival, fears time. Not for her 74 years, but for little Michelle: “It scares me just because I have a nine-year-old girl, my young love. She needs me and she will need me for a few more years. My mom has been in heaven since 2000, I hope she will be my spokesperson. I have to live a little longer because I want to protect my little daughter. My older son works, he is thirty years old. But the baby still needs me. I treat myself well, I’m fine, God gave me energy and passion. I’m not afraid of growing old, but I want to grow old in peace. I don’t want to suddenly leave the world. I am not ready yet”.
