Sex/Life star Sarah Shahi says series two will feature MORE raunchy scenes

Sex/Life star Sarah Shahi has revealed that the second series will feature even more raunchy sex scenes than the first series.

The 42-year-old actress – who plays Billie Connelly in the hit drama – joked in a new interview with The Times that she asked for “really nice lighting” while filming intimate takes.

In the chat, she also opened up about falling in love with her co-star Adam Demos on the set of the first series and divorcing Steve Howey, the shameless actor’s husband.

Speaking of the fast-paced new Netflix series, she said: “It’s a lot and I have a feeling we’re going to have even more sex scenes in season two.

“It’s scary, you’re vulnerable. I just prayed a lot and asked for really nice lighting.”

She turned to strength training with a personal trainer, plus running and a strict diet of chicken, fish and vegetables to get in shape for the series.

Sarah also gushed about her relationship with Adam and when they first met prior to the first series.

She said: “I think it was February and I was wearing an old, beat-up Christmas jumper. I felt like oh this is the person I’ve been looking for my whole life.

Adam is now stepdad to three children, William Wolf, 13, and twins Violet Moon and Knox Blue, 7, who she shares with ex Steve.

She recently told NewBeauty magazine what it’s really like working with her significant other.

Sarah said: “I’d much rather work with him than not – our schedule is so busy we’d never see each other otherwise.

“At least being able to be in his room when we’re on set… that’s better than not having it – what we’re doing is so weird to the outside world, which I understand.

“It’s pretty helpful to have someone inside to feel sorry for or vent to.”

Announcing their divorce in May 2020, she and Steve said in a statement, “After much thought and consideration, we have decided to end our marriage,” the couple said in a statement. “We are so grateful for the past 10 years together and proud of the children we have raised.

“As we enter this new phase of our lives, raising our children together with so much love, mutual respect and friendship will remain our priority. And while our relationship is changing, we are committed to continuing our lives as a loving family.”

In her filing, Shahi listed April 14 as the official split date and cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split, according to Us Weekly.

Howey, 42, and Shahi wed in Las Vegas in February 2009 after a two-year engagement.

Five months after saying “yes,” the couple welcomed son William, followed by twins Violet and Knox in 2015.

Filming for the first season began in August 2020 — when Sarah met co-star Adam.

And in June 2021, the 36-year-old Australian actor confirmed the sexual chemistry between him and series lead Sarah Shahi wasn’t just about acting — as the duo actually fell in love while filming in Toronto.

Confirming his relationship to The Daily Telegraph, the 35-year-old admitted coyly: “What I’m going to say and I always like to say is I’m a happy man and these are happy days.”

Sarah also opened up about their romance in an interview with Entertainment Tonight, where she said: “It was a great casting, I’ll put it that way.

“Without sharing too many details, because there is a part of my relationship that I protect and that applies only to him and me, I am very grateful that I met him.

“He’s undoubtedly one of the best people I’ve ever met and I’m generally grateful to be on this ride – but it’s also special to be able to share it with him.”

Sex/Life is based on BB Easton’s novel 44 Chapters About 4 Men.

The plot follows suburban mother-of-two Billie (Sarah) who is involved in a love triangle with her husband Cooper (Mike Vogel) and an old flame from her past, Brad (Adam).
