After serving seven years in prison, the man targeted what appeared to be an underage youth in a hospital emergency room.

Caught red-handed, Faivre was sent back to prison but granted legal release.

Since then he has had to meet a number of conditions and stay in a communal residence where he is being monitored.

“He’s a special case,” says Me Walid Hijzai, a criminal lawyer. He was not granted early parole. […] We don’t want to release anyone into society without controls.”

André Faivre, 74, ran a “social pedophile club” made up of several members. He remained convinced that pedophilia was acceptable.

“He had a very problematic behavior when he was released,” says the defense attorney in an interview with LCN.

The Parole Board of Canada (PBC) has come under fire in such cases. However, Mr. Hijazi assures that the Commission is doing a good job in most cases.

“It’s a question of risk management. The concept of parole is an important concept. [La libération conditionnelle]it’s an inducement to an inmate,” he says.

On the other hand, for this apostle of pedophilia, he would have been very destabilized when he left prison.

“[Certains] come out totally destabilized and fall back into their bad habits,” he summarizes.
