Pink is ‘sad and disappointed’ at feud headlines with Christina Aguilera, Madonna: ‘I should say less’

They say no press is bad press, but for singer Pink, some press is hard to stomach.

The 43-year-old singer has been in the media lately as she continues to promote her new album Trustfall. With a career spanning nearly three decades, Pink’s recording tenure has seen the artist make waves with her performances, successes and, unfortunately, her public feuds.

Taking to Instagram, Pink shared her frustration with the media tying her into storylines from her past.

“I’m so saddened and disappointed by the narrative of some of the press articles I’ve done surrounding my album,” Pink wrote. “While some of the responsibility lies with me and my inability to lie and my uncanny ability to share too much, my real disappointment lies in the fact that art can never take center stage when you’re a woman.”

P!NK ATTEND CHRISTINA AGUILERA ‘LADY MARMALADE’ FEUD IN PROFANE TWEETS: “I DON’T HAVE TO KISS HER A–“

For the past week, Pink has been candid about her relationship with Christina Aguilera and Madonna.

While reviewing their music videos, Pink seemingly shadowed Aguilera, saying that filming the music video for their “Lady Marmalade” collaboration wasn’t comfortable due to “personalities” on set. The song also features rappers Lil’ Kim and Mya with intros and outros by Missy Elliot.

“It wasn’t much fun doing it,” she told Buzzfeed UK in a video shared on TikTok last week. “I’m just having fun and it was like a lot of fuss. And there were some personalities… Kim and Mya were nice.”

Faced with backlash, Pink took to Twitter to share her take on the Aguilera affair, even writing, “Besides – I kissed xtina’s mouth.

In her Instagram statement, Pink commented that what should have been a celebration of her new music has now become an opportunity to encourage feuds.

“The fact that I made one of the most beautiful albums with the most beautiful people – singing my A – left me completely vulnerable – 11 albums in there, sold out stadiums, raising good kids, constantly employing hundreds of good, hardworking people who only thing they keep asking you about is a stupid feud (sic) from your twenties. I also take responsibility – I’m out of practice dodging the cops – t that gets thrown at us hardworking women notorious for saying too much,” she captioned a silly selfie with her child.

Her written statement echoes a conversation she had with Howard Stern earlier in the week.

While Pink has admitted her love for Madonna, she also admitted that the singer “don’t like her” after a “silly” incident on “Live with Regis and Kelly” when they first met 20 years ago. During the talk show appearance, Pink made a joke about how Madonna wanted to meet her, as opposed to the other way around. Pink shared that she was very excited to meet the Material Girl singer at the time.

“Some people just don’t like me,” she told Stern. “I’m a polarizing person.”

Despite a “polarizing” personality, Pink remains steadfast in her portrayals of past events.

“I’ve never lied,” she wrote on Instagram. “And for every one or two women I’ve had trouble with, there are hundreds I’ve praised and supported and loved. But we don’t talk about that. I wonder when was the last time Bradley Cooper or Robert DeNiro (sic) were asked out in interview after interview about any fights they’ve ever had. How about Christian Bale? We’ll stick to the art with you, won’t we? I want to have the same opportunity,” she said, calling out the parody between how women and men are interviewed.

“I also believe in an authentic apology – and an acknowledgment of your mistakes. I should say less. every time Say less. Something I’m working on. That was a good memory living through the music and on stage. And I have achieved that. Incredible and consistent,” she concluded, before addressing Aguilera directly.
